Taylor Cemetery District respects the privacy of the families, visitors, burial-right holders, and community members we serve. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, maintain, and disclose information through our website, cemetery services, online forms, and telephone, voice, email, and text communications.
“District,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Taylor Cemetery District.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on your interactions with the district, we may collect the following information.
Contact information: Your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and preferred contact methods.
Cemetery service information: Burial-right purchase details, plot identification, burial arrangements, monument requests, maintenance requests, and other information necessary to administer cemetery services.
Residency and authority documentation: Information needed to verify district residency, eligibility, identity, inheritance, family relationships, or authority to act concerning burial rights. This may include documents you provide, such as residency records, written consents, probate records, or court orders.
Transaction information: Payment status, receipts, transaction references, and records related to purchases, refunds, or other district transactions.
Communications information: Form submissions, emails, text messages, call details, recordings, and any transcripts created as part of our communications services.

Please provide only information reasonably necessary for your request.
2. How We Collect Information
We collect information:
Directly from you through forms, correspondence, calls, purchases, and service requests.
From authorized family members, estate representatives, funeral homes, monument providers, or others involved in cemetery arrangements.
From district records and documentation used to verify residency, burial rights, succession, or authority.
Through website hosting, security, and communications systems.
When providing information about another person, please ensure you have appropriate authority to do so.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
Respond to questions and service requests.
Administer burial-right purchases, transfers, succession, surrender, and related records.
Verify residency, eligibility, identity, and authority.
Coordinate burials, appointments, monument work, and maintenance.
Process and document transactions.
Maintain accurate cemetery maps, directories, and historical records.
Send service communications you authorize.
Send marketing, community event, or fundraising communications when you separately opt in.
Document communications consent and honor opt-out requests.
Support quality assurance and staff training.
Maintain website operation and security.
Comply with applicable laws, records requirements, and legal orders.
We do not use acceptance of burial-right terms as consent to marketing messages or automated calls.
4. Text Messaging and Mobile Information
Taylor Cemetery District offers SMS/MMS communications about cemetery services, including inquiry responses, scheduling, reminders, purchase updates, document requests, payment notifications, and other service-related notices.
Marketing, community event, and fundraising messages require a separate voluntary opt-in.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all other permissions in this policy to share information. We do not sell, rent, or transfer this information to another organization for its own messaging programs.
Communications providers and carriers, including Twilio where used, may process mobile information and consent records only as necessary to deliver and administer communications on our behalf. Disclosures legally required of the district remain subject to applicable law.
Consent applies to the district, the communication method selected, and the purposes disclosed when consent is given. Providing a telephone number, submitting a general inquiry, purchasing burial rights, or accepting website terms does not by itself enroll you in recurring texts or marketing communications.
If you initiate a text conversation, we may respond to that inquiry. This does not automatically enroll you in ongoing messaging programs.
Text Messaging Choices
Reply STOP to unsubscribe from district program texts.
We also honor other standard opt-out keywords and clear requests to stop messages. You may receive one final message confirming your unsubscribe request. Further program texts will stop unless you subsequently provide new express written consent.

5. Telephone, Automated Voice, and AI Communications
The district may communicate through live staff calls and, where authorized, automated dialing, prerecorded messages, artificial voices, or AI-generated voices.
Required consent for automated or artificial-voice calls is obtained separately from burial-right agreements. Marketing and fundraising calls under our communications program require separate express written consent.
When an automated or AI voice is used, we disclose that fact at the beginning of the interaction. Information you provide during these interactions may be processed by providers supporting the district’s communications services.
You may withdraw call consent by telling the representative, following the automated call’s opt-out instructions, calling 208-557-9909, or emailing info@taylorcemetery.com.
6. Call Recording and Transcription
All telephone calls with Taylor Cemetery District are recorded for quality assurance and training, subject to required notice and consent.
At the beginning of each call, we inform participants that the call will be recorded and obtain consent before recording begins. Acceptance of this Privacy Policy or our Terms and Conditions does not itself constitute consent to recording a particular call.
If you do not consent, the telephone conversation will not proceed. You may contact us by email at info@taylorcemetery.com or through our Contact page.
If another participant joins a call, we provide notice and obtain that participant’s consent before recording their participation.
Recordings may contain telephone numbers, voices, and information discussed during the call. Transcripts may be created from consented recordings for the same purposes. Access is limited to authorized personnel and providers supporting those purposes, subject to applicable legal disclosure requirements.
7. How We Disclose Information
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary for the following purposes.
District administration: To authorized district officials, staff, and representatives carrying out district responsibilities.
Service delivery: To management providers, funeral homes, monument providers, payment processors, technology providers, and other parties involved in fulfilling an authorized request or providing services for the district. We limit these disclosures to information needed for the relevant purpose.
Legal requirements: To comply with applicable public records laws, court orders, subpoenas, or other legally binding requirements.
Protection and dispute resolution: To address fraud, unauthorized transactions, security concerns, disputed burial rights, or other matters involving district records and responsibilities.
These disclosures do not authorize third-party marketing use of mobile information or transfer of messaging consent. The protections in Section 4 apply regardless of other sharing provisions in this policy.
8. Cemetery Records and Public Records
The district maintains burial records, burial-right records, maps, and other administrative and historical records. Certain burial information may appear in public cemetery directories or maps.
Taylor Cemetery District is a public entity. Records held by the district, including submissions and communications, may be subject to Idaho public records requirements.
We evaluate disclosure requests under applicable law and apply legally available exemptions when appropriate. We cannot promise that every submission, communication, or recording will remain confidential.
Publication of burial information does not mean that all supporting documents or living individuals’ contact information will be published.
9. Cookies and Website Technology
Our website and embedded services may use cookies or similar technology to support functionality, security, preferences, or website measurement.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect website features.
Embedded maps, forms, directories, or other third-party features may collect technical information under their providers’ privacy policies. Please review those policies when using their services.
10. Payments and Sensitive Information
Do not send payment card details, Social Security numbers, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information through general contact forms, ordinary email, text messages, or recorded telephone conversations.
If payment or supporting documentation is required, ask district staff for the appropriate submission method.
Payment processors may collect information necessary to complete transactions under their own privacy and security practices.
11. Retention of Information
We retain information according to its purpose, applicable records retention requirements, district recordkeeping needs, and legal obligations.
Burial and burial-right records may require long-term or permanent preservation. Communications, consent records, recordings, and other administrative records may have different retention periods.
We may retain information when necessary to document consent or withdrawal, resolve disputes, comply with legal holds, or satisfy required recordkeeping obligations.
A request to stop communications does not automatically require deletion of cemetery records, transaction records, or evidence of consent and withdrawal.
12. Information Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, loss, or disclosure.
No website, communications system, or storage method can guarantee complete security. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information and notify us if you believe information submitted to the district has been compromised.
13. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact us to:
Update your contact information.
Change communication preferences.
Withdraw consent to optional calls or texts.
Ask about information we maintain concerning you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request access to or deletion of information where applicable law permits.
We may request verification of your identity or authority before acting on a request.
Requests remain subject to applicable law, public records procedures, retention requirements, and the need to preserve accurate cemetery records. Some information cannot be deleted or changed solely upon request.
If you decline calls or texts, we will use other available contact methods, such as email. This may delay our response. If no usable alternative contact method is provided, we may be unable to reach you.
Consent to optional communications is not required to purchase burial rights, receive cemetery services, or make a donation.
14. Third-Party Websites
Our website may link to websites or services operated by other organizations. This Privacy Policy does not govern their independent practices.
Review their privacy policies before submitting information. Where a provider processes information on the district’s behalf, the district’s applicable privacy commitments continue to apply to that processing.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in services, technology, practices, or legal requirements. The updated policy will display a revised effective date.
Changes to this policy do not expand communications consent previously provided. We will obtain additional consent when required for a new purpose or communication method.
